Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) provides grants and/or loans to students residing in Ontario, Canada.

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a loan and/or grant program for students residing in Ontario, Canada. Canadian students should begin the application process online using the link below. Our office will assist you by completing the financial aid/school information required on several forms. The forms most commonly submitted to our office are:

  • Program Information Form
  • Confirmation of Enrollment Form

Buffalo State College is an approved OSAP institution, so it is not necessary to complete an Institution and Program Approval Form.

OSAP has listed our school name as STATE UNIVERSITY NY – BUFFALO STATE COLL.

Please allow a week to ten days for all processing, especially during peak periods at the start of a new semester. Physical mail being sent to a Canadian address can take up to two weeks to be delivered, so please allow plenty of time for your requests.

All forms signed and stamped by the Financial Aid Office will be returned directly to the OSAP program and not to the student.

OSAP forms requesting information regarding tuition for Canadian tax returns should be submitted to the Student Accounts Office.

If you have additional questions regarding OSAP, you can contact the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, Student Financial Assistance Branch at 1-877-OSAP-411 (1-877-672-7411), or TTY toll-free: 1-800-465-3958.
